1. Mold design
It is necessary to fit the structural characteristics of the casting and adopt a reasonable parting surface and draft angle to avoid deformation of the casting during demolding due to unreasonable structure. At the same time, the surface of the mold cavity needs to be finely polished to reduce the friction resistance during the casting molding, ensure that the casting can be evenly filled and smoothly removed, and provide a basic guarantee for dimensional accuracy from the source.
2. Stable control of process parameters
The melting state needs to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the aluminum alloy material to ensure uniform fluidity of the molten metal. During the filling stage, the pressure changes are precisely controlled to ensure that the molten metal fills the mold cavity smoothly, avoiding excessive thickness or thinness of the casting due to excessive flow rate or unstable pressure, which affects dimensional stability.
3. Purity of raw materials
Remove impurities and gases to prevent inconsistent shrinkage of castings during solidification due to uneven materials. Select aluminum alloy materials with stable composition to reduce dimensional deviations caused by material fluctuations and provide material support for the dimensional accuracy of castings.
4. Cooling process
The temperature control method is segmented, and the corresponding cooling path is designed according to the thickness difference of different parts of the casting to make the temperature of each part of the casting uniform. It avoids uneven shrinkage stress caused by local cooling too fast or too slow, prevents deformation of the casting due to the release of internal stress, and ensures that the size remains stable.
5. Processing steps after casting
By adopting appropriate aging treatment processes, residual stress inside the casting can be eliminated and dimensional changes during subsequent use can be reduced. For areas with slight deviations, fine grinding and other methods can be used for finishing to further improve dimensional accuracy and meet use requirements.
